XD Series Supporting Car Electronics / The XD series supports Automotive Quality Grade with testing based upon AEC-Q100.

Torex automotive products comply with AEC-Q100, which is a reliability and quality testing standard for integrated circuits that was established by the AEC (Automotive Electronics Council: a standardization organization for the reliability of automotive electronic components established by major automobile manufacturers and U.S. electronic component manufacturers).
AEC-Q100 uses harsher conditions than those for regular consumer products to ensure high quality automotive products.

To avoid switching regulator frequency interference

A switching regulator periodically switches the current ON/OFF to convert the output to a desired output voltage. This provides higher efficiency than a linear regulator which loses some power as heat when converting the output voltage, but also has the disadvantage of switching-generated noise. In particular, interference with AM radio frequencies is a problem.

Prevention of false detection of reset is possible

Torex’s XD6132/XD6134 series are voltage detectors that operate at 6V, and the detection voltage, release voltage, and hysteresis width can be set as desired using external resistances. This makes these detectors ideal for battery voltage monitoring. Because any hysteresis width and detection/release delay time can be set, false detection of reset can be prevented even when the battery voltage fluctuates due to cranking.
